This loss looked so similar to the Vikings playoff loss last year. They controlled the LOS on both sides of the ball and just bullied us off the ball every snap. |
Re: Taysom Hill - The Pocket Passer?
Payton wants to make him into a pocket passer. Don't force it on him though. Taysom is afraid to use his best weapon...his legs to take off and run.

Re: Taysom Hill - The Pocket Passer?
I saw several things that bothered me with Taysom last night:
1) Happy Feet 2) Staring downfield looking for the wide open receiver instead of seeing the passing lanes and trusting his receivers to get there. 3) Trying to stay in the pocket and pass instead of taking the running lanes when they present themselves. Not sure whether the change in his playing style is SP's doing or if the prognosticators have gotten into his head, but this game he was NOT playing to his stengths. Basically, what we saw Jalen Hurts do all night! |
Re: Taysom Hill - The Pocket Passer?
It was his fourth start at QB. The interception was bad. Forced under pressure. Run. Throw it away. If the spy can tackle him, it will be close to the line of scrimmage. Much better than the five to eight yards lost on a sack. As someone who's supported him from the beginning, I truly believe he's exceeded even my expectations. He has two problems. He's having to follow one of the greatest of all time at his position, under the watchful eyes of a very spoiled fan base. And, it's on a team that has legit Super Bowl potential. About as pressure packed as it gets in sports.
