Why? What has he done that warrants more than a 2nd round pick? Sounds fair to me! Teams build their team around first round picks. I wouldn\'t build a team around someone as unstable as Turley.

I think the Saints got hosed. I cant believe a team like Balt, Carolina SD, some team that needed a tackle didn\'t step up. Turley did not help the situation with his comments though. The team and him should have just got together to keep his mouth shut while they were trying to trade the guy.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!! This is awesome! I\'m glad we finally got rid of that whining, complaining, ill-tempered crybaby. Hey, wait! Turley sounds a lot like my ex-wife :P 2nd round pick is fine with me, though I wish it had been in this year\'s draft. Now we\'ve cleared out a bit of cap room, so let\'s go after Tebucky.

\"Any time you can add attitude like Kyle\'s at any position, you should do it,\" Martz said.
Where has he been the last year? Or is he just forgetting that a nasty on-field attitude sometimes comes with a nasty off-field attitude?

I don\'t particularly like the deal, but then again if it\'s the only deal they could get - show him the door. We had to lose Turley.

\"also, there is no way i would deal turley for anything less then a 1st round pick, and not late 1st round either, im talkin at least mid level, he is young and one of the best at his postion, he can play both right an left tackle and that makes his value even higher.\" (pakowitz)
Just a reminder of the (not so) slight difference between the dreams of a Saints fan and the reality a GM has to deal with.

\"What is Wal-Mart? Is it like they sell wall stuff?\"

I am glad to see him go and if that was the only way so be it. Although I think we should have been able to get a bit better pick than we did. Attitude towards the Saints organization may not translate to another team. His on field antics, and although he wasn\'t the only one who appeared to quit at the end of the season, he was one of the offenders. Since the Rams aren\'t in our division, I wish them luck.

Rams | More On Turley - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
17:44 PT: The Post-Dispatch reports the St. Louis Rams are working on a contract extension that would lower OT Kyle Turley\'s salary cap number in 2003. \"He\'s our starting right tackle,\" Rams coach Mike Martz said. \"Grant Williams will be our third tackle right now. And I\'m not sure what we\'re going to do with John (St. Clair). John may go back inside.\" Martz says he\'s planning on having OT Orlando Pace line up at left tackle next season. \"Any time you can add attitude like Kyle\'s at any position, you should do it,\" Martz said. \"I love the way he plays. I remember him at San Diego State. We loved him coming out.\"

Don't want em to get your goat don't show em where it's hid.
