If you don't draft a starter you are only adding more uncertainty to the pile; if you draft a starter you are going to have to give away the future to move up into the draft high enough to get that guy, because we certainly aren't moving up in the draft through losing. |

So does that mean we’re going to re-sign Winston because he’s on a one year deal? Is he going to take the same small contract?

Honestly I think we roll into 2021 with the same exact setup and hope for someone to rise above the others. May draft a 4th to add to the mix but otherwise, pobably, yes.

My guess is he wants to play. My guess is that there are other teams who will pay him much more money AND give him a chance at starting. If DB#9 is around in 2021, and I believe he will be, and if TH#7 is around, and I also believe he will be, then Winston has to move on to greener pastures. Assuming that teams will want him, and imho, the longer you don’t have gameday tape, the longer you’re not in the serious conversation for a starting QB’s job. He’s in his prime, he’s no longer a rookie, which means the clock is ticking on his career. |

I’m not disagreeing with you saintsfan. But, Why do you think that is true about Winston? He is Still young. Former no 1 pick. Threw for 5000 yards. Never had a season with more Ints than TDs. Convince me why Winston can’t be successful .
