Drew’s Final Regular Season Game?

Yep. Retire #9. Hang his jersey in the middle of The Superdome. Honor him as the greatest Saint to ever wear the Black and Gold. I give him a hard time and I’m hyper critical of his play because I’m a Saints fan before anything else. But when he hangs it up, I hope he comes back as a coach. I’m hearing Carson Wentz rumors...

I hope the Wentz rumors are just that, rumors . Would rather have Dak. Imagine Dak in this offense with the numbers he’s capable of putting up. Drew and Dak aren’t far off from being the same type of players. Their careers have also gone the same direction. Both coming off injuries from their previous teams who didn’t want you. I’m down.

At the start of the season I said Dak would be our next Qb. I still believe it.

I’m not a cap expert, but I can’t see any way the Saints could afford a Prescott contract.

We take a huge cap hit with no corresponding player if Brees retires. No chance of bringing in ANY veteran QB with the reduced cap and Brees' dead money. Any other QB wouldn't be a shadow of Brees' current talent level.

If Brees retires we get hit with a $22.6 cap hit in guarantees/dead cap. If he returns that contract can be restructured. Prescott would demand over $30 million for sure.
