What Occam's Razor does support is a colossal screw-up by the officiating crew. Several factors could have contributed the blown call, but putting in the fix is not among them. We just happened to catch the brunt of that screw-up. The temporary rule change to allow challenges didn't work, but what we have seen are far more officials getting together to talk through those types of calls. Ask Rugby if he truly thinks fixing games could truly happen at that level by officials without anyone knowing about it. He may referee a different sport, but the concept is the same. |

I don't know about league conspiracy but corruption that everyone saw and Goodell refused to fix even though he had the power.

Get real. I'm sorry but I thought you were more aware than that, Boston. Geez. They fu$ked up the call. Pure and simple. It totally sucked for us, but there is no way in hell it was premeditated. My eyes are wide open. Try opening yours. Nobody was more pissed off about that bad call than me, but trying to call it an intentional bad call is just plain stupid. |

Re: Who to pull for on Saturday
Don’t want to go back there, to the fix, but goodfuickdell got what he deserved anyway, prolly the worst Super Bowl ever in my book . How many pts did the Rams get? But like someone said we didn’t take care of our business we let them smucks hang around all day , and a blown call killed the lucky out of us.

I love the Saints dearly and appreciate the rollercoaster that is the NFL season and love the rush of adrenaline I get when the Saints do defeat an opponent but even when the Saints win in thrilling fashion it is important for me to try to keep things in their proper perspective...win or lose. The losses seem almost insurmountable(especially in the amplified atmosphere of the NFL post season) but keeping a thrilling W or a soul crushing loss in it's proper context has surely helped me to cope. All the best to you and my wish is that the Saints lift you more than they upset you. |

Do you think Jerry Jones or Bob Kraft, or Gayle Benson are going to pay salary to a referee to intentionally damage their revenue stream? That is what you are saying. The league may have favorites and they may level harder penalties against some of the the teams that aren't as willing to be media darlings but until you provide incentive for the owners to hurt their own company you have no ground to stand on. The referee's are craptastic and we are not the only ream n the last decade to be in the end of their craptastic decisions. At best the Ram's no call was piss poor officiating, at worse a referee made bets or the league wanted the Rams in the playoffs but a grudge... there is no reason or upside. Goodell answers to the owners, not vice versa. |
