Goodell is about self-preservation. For himself, for the league and the owners who ensure he remains in power ultimately returning billions on their investments.

His unilateral decision to levy unprecedented sanctions on the Saints franchise was proof enough of that.

Sean Payton challenged Goodell's authority and his motivation. Rightfully so. To us as fans it feels like we're always slighted because - speaking for myself - there wasn't justification for the heavy penalties.

I'm sure there's no love loss between the two but Goodell is nothing more than a corporate mouthpiece. He doesn't gain anything from orchestrating diabolical, multi-level schemes to defraud games through improbable plays.

He's just a dIck.

Re: Who to pull for on Saturday

The league wants big names in big games to bring in ratings and revenue. LA is a bigger name than La. I’ve lived in and watched closely two teams have dynasties and win multiple titles under a regime in Niners and the Pats. No way is it an accident that those teams were treated to more favorable on-field calls than the Saints (and other teams). I don’t care if anyone agrees with me. It’s a simple fact that when/if the Saints go into play GB in Lambeau Field they will go into the game with one hand tied because they will be facing bad calls/no calls from the refs. Jordan will get held repeatedly with no calls. A ticky- tacK PI will be called on the Saints that will be huge while similar contact will be allowed by GB. I don’t care if anyone agrees with me. I’ve seen it too often in my 45 + years of watching football to make me think otherwise.

Raiders were (maybe still are) same way. For 20+ years I watched Raiders and Niners play each weekend. The league hated al Davis and the Raiders. It loved Eddie D. Each week I’d watch the refs screw the Raiders and help
The Niners. People use to say Saints and Niners got screwed because they wore black and it was done subconsciously. BS.

This disagrees with your previous assertion of a grudge. Does that mean your eyes are now closed?

Asking for a friend.

I’m just poking at ya. That’s for agreeing with me.

The Seahawks offense is looking completely helpless. Is it possible that the Rams could pull off this upset? We might face the winner of Bucs-Washington.

The Rams are very good defensively.

They definitely have a shot at defeating the Seachickens today.

The Rams winning would be best for us in terms of avoiding going to GB. If the Rams win they’ll go to GB next week and their #1 defense will give the Packers trouble. Jalen Ramsey will erase Devante Adams.

I’ve officially decided, I want the Rams to go to GB next week and the WFT to come to NOLA.

Ugh Its initially looking like, if we win, that we'll be hosting the Bucs.

Hawks just not showed up.
WFT playing with their 4th string QB

Not crazy about playing a division opponent for a 3rd time, Brady gets all kind of ref help.

Bro we didn’t just beat them, we beat their a$$ both times we played them. That’s one of the only teams Lattimore shows up to play at an elite level against. I have no fear whatsoever of the Buccaneers.

I cannot tell you how badly I want the Rams to go beat GB next week so we can hopefully get a NFC Championship rematch against the Rams.
