Re: 2021 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
I'm not talking of them investing in him as a QB but as a offensive weapon/back up QB. As a all round weapon and part of the QB room I think you can justify a 9/10ml a year deal. It depends if he still thinks he's a starring calibre QB

Trev Siemian would be a capable back up under Payton. I say deal taysom for draft picks. He goes back to special teams expert, with capable QB next season.

Re: 2021 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
It's worth noting that Marcus Williams has been at or near the top in grading for safeties by PFF since his rookie year, yet in these rankins, Williams is listed at the third safety in their free agent rankings... PFF suggests Jenkins was brought back to give flexibility to Williams' expected departure; that'd be disappointing as the aged Jenkins struggled to keep up, no where near as consistent as Williams this season... |

Re: 2021 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
Unless the Saints get a really good offer and do a sign and trade for Armstead, suspect Ramczyk will be extended with a lower front end cap number now, and will move to LT when Armstead's contract expires...

Re: 2021 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
Rather trade Armstead a year to early and get a pick than let him see the deal out. A 3rd rounder a year after he leaves is little use, getting a late 1st or 2nd means you can look to replace him. As you say move Ramczyk over if need be

Backloaded contracts galore this offseason boys. The cap is going to skyrocket in the coming years. |
