Cooks opposite Thomas would be pretty imposing on opposing defenses... |

A 29 year old Cooks back in NOLA, huh? I guess he could certainly keep that safety honest...

Quick question guys, how much can be afforded on a FA WR?

Re: 2021 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
As for Qb I think the following are off the table.
-Rodgers - Wilson - Winston This leaves - Cousins- probably off the table. - Carr- doubt he’s going anywhere. Probably off the table. - Wentz- HAHAHAHHA - Mayfield- eh - Bridgewater- better than what we have but won’t get us to the Super Bowl and definitely not a franchise Qb. - Jimmy G- at least he’s been there. I don’t see any of these guys are a long term solution. I would love to have Carr or maybe even Cousins but other than that I see the rest as 1 or 2 year guys filling in until other options come along. We have a great defense and I would hate to “waste it” because we can’t keep up offensively. We would not have Alvin for a while so we may have to rely on a Qb that can be more than just a game manager. If Winston isn’t available I think drafting may be our best option. Yes we have other needs but a lot of holes can be filled with the money we would have to cough up for a vet Qb. |

Jameis Winston has in front of him a unique opportunity to not only be the heir to Brees but carry a loaded team of guys who like him well into the playoffs.
He's our QB. |

Re: 2021 NFL Free Agency: New Orleans Saints
With an established defense already in place, I’d go after Winston FIRST.
How many more games could we have possibly won if he doesn’t get injured? Cousins, Jimmy G (see his recent playoff performances), Wentz simply don’t do it for me. DWatson & Russ are the only guys I like more but you are going to have to give up a good player or two for their services. This will probably become the most anticipated Free agency period for me in quite a while. |
