Damn that’s it?

This is Mayfield’s last chance as a starter in Cleveland.

Cowboys did good to get that compensation as they were faced with out-right releasing AC...

He's better than anyone on our WR core not named Michael Thomas.

The Saints must bring in another quality wide receiver(s) this off season.

Chark, Fuller, Landry, Robinson, Kirk, Green etc ... whatever.

And of course the draft .

Well with the news that we have a trade offer out for Deshaun Watson, I think it’s safe to say our free agency is over before it even started. We have to keep any cap space we create to potentially take on his contract. Hope the other teams have fun though.

We could rework his contract to make it possible for more free agency, but it would hamper the quality we could target greatly. He carries a $35 million salary and a $5.4 million signing bonus proration for 2022 as it stands right now. Houston will also take a $51 million cap hit in dead money with any trade now.

In other words, we'd have to micro-manage the cap, that thing you say doesn't matter.

Interesting...

This is what’s kind of a bummer. We could re-structure his contract AFTER trading for him, but until that point we have to keep the cap space available to fit him in. This likely means no free agent signings. If we don’t pull off the trade for Watson, Jameis Winston will probably be long gone.
