The Saints won the Super Bowl with Bushrod. My opinion is he can only get better. Both teams and Brown should be happy.

and for those who were saying we wouldn't trade a probowl 1st round pick for a linebacker or defensive tackle, technically your were right but we might get as low as a 4th rounder out of this so untechnically you were wrong as hell. I mean all the skins have to do is win 9 games, or make the playoffs or McNabb to the probowl, pretty damn good odds. I would've much rather landed a good DT or Linebacker that we can use now instead of another BS pick that's probably about 50/50 to work out at all.

Golf and sex are about the only things you can enjoy without being good at them.

Relax people .... JB was a holding call waiting to happen and another knee injury away from a carbon copy of last year. He has not contributed in a while. At least we got rid of a discontent and got probably third rounder. And we have been good at the middle rounds of late.

We should have gotten at least a 3R pick; and sending a pick back?!? What the hell is that?!?

If Shanahan is back to his stubborn ways, freeze him out of trades and then they'll be more reasonable...

Saints are getting laxed in the wake of their post Superbowl Victory...

Re: Saints, Redskins agree on Brown deal

the redskins arent a lock to win 9 games. looking at their schedule they play houston, green bay, indy, tennessee, and minnesota, outside of their divison. granted they have st louis, jacksonville and tampa as well, but their division in no walk in the park.

also there are some pretty good qbs in the NFC that will get probowl votes..brees, favre, rodgers, romo always get a ton of votes. granted brees wont be playing if they have the probowl between the nfccg and the sb again.

what im trying to say is its not a given that they will meet the criteria and i can definitely see this ending up as a 3rd rounder.

Didn't get much out of the trade, but at least we got something. We obviously weren't going to sign JB to a new deal anyway, so let Snyder blow his dollars.

I don't like malcontents. He's a good player, but good riddance. I want people who want to be here. JB thought he was bigger than the team, so I'm glad he's gone. A third or fourth isn't bad, but not great for a really good tackle. Overall I'm glad we can move on now. We have a pretty good tackle in Bushrod, and one to groom in the future in CB.

True enough... besides.. the days of getting a number one pick are likely over ... unless it is a franchise player...
I think the Saints have turned the corner as a franchise. We just might be turning into a New England after all.
