Re: New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton curious to see where Nnamdi Asomugha ends up
Hey man, it's Sean! Doesn't he deserve a thread of his own?

From Holder
"It happens all the time in our business where a player has success and then maybe goes through a period of time where he doesn't," Payton said. "He had company in Philadelphia in regards to the struggles they had, and for two years we didn't see the same player we saw in Oakland for so many years. But that happens all the time. I think for us, you look at the body of work and look at what motivates the player and what he's excited about. "I'm anxious to see how this unfolds." Payton said he understands Asomugha is weighing his options after visiting San Francisco and New Orleans after being released by Philadelphia last week. When asked if he has a feeling of which team Asomugha is leaning toward, Payton said, "Nothing right now. Just waiting to see." http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf...ml#incart_2box |

nfl.com on Nnamdi
We knew that free-agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha was due to meet with his former Raiders defensive coordinator Rob Ryan in New Orleans on Sunday. What we didn't know was that Saints general manager Mickey Loomis and head coach Sean Payton would join the welcoming party before jetting off to the NFL Annual Meeting in Phoenix.

Re: nfl.com on Nnamdi
Someone said earlier that it was just Ryan, and now this is saying the others were there, too. Maybe people can stop reporting conflicting stories and just let us know if/when he signs.

I'm preparing for the worst. Don't get me wrong this signing would be great, but I just think he's going to be too tempted by SF. SF has been so lucky recently that I feel he's going there.

Losing a player is bad... Not getting someone is just not a gain and not something anyone should feel bad for. I do not win the lottery twice a month... Doesn't upset me in the least. |
Re: New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton curious to see where Nnamdi Asomugha ends up
So this is most likely not a possibility but what if we lose out on Nnamdi BUT the Saints enter the Revis discussion. We did just see one brother gift wrap a wide reviever to his brother.... lol
