Re: Saints kicking the tires on Asomugha?

Cary, Goldston, Asomugha, Cox, Pollard etc.. are all better than what we had last year. Looks like a decent year to have secondary needs.

Having already robbed the Eagles blind, I wonder if he'd settle for less this time around to have a legit shot at the ring?!

I don't think he'll get any Eaglesque offers this time around so hopefully a ring will be a huge consideration for him.

He's also ver big on Philanthropy....you have 3 things to attract him off the bat.

1. A perfect opportunity to help the community with a team to does alot with the community.

2. He would be put in a scheme that made him an elite CB in the first place.

3. You'll be playing with Drew Brees....and when you have that type of QB and offense, that means you can win a ring.

I concur it seems we are in the mix for his services, along with four other teams. RR connection might help with his recruitment. The number of CBs on the market should help push the price down.IMHO playing on a team with a great lockeroom would be attractive for a player who has only played on teams that were to say the least. Disfunctional'

Re: Nnamdi Asomugha

Obviously the issue is whether his decline in play due was due to playing in a system totally the opposite of his skillset (square peg/round hole), or has his overall talent significantly declined over the last 2 seasons?

The easy answer is probably a little of both, but he's not exactly old by CB comparisons.

I lean toward the square peg/round hole issue. I know exactly what that looks like.

My my could we afford his services. Not possible. What would he want? If its to be on a winning club , its here. If its for money . Cleveland. Jacksonville.buffalo etc.

Like I said born in Lafayette and RR to coach him is a real good place for Nnamdi to end up his career and with a superbowl win.

We?Saints fans saw some of that this past year perhaps? A golden apple doesn't turn into a road apple. Players fit in certain systems and not others. Ryan should know better than others, where his talents lie.
