Re: The NO TEBOW zone
Where would we get the money to sign him? Whose roster spot would he take? Nope.

Re: The NO TEBOW zone
Not saying I want him or would sign him but he would take the same spot Chase Daniel took the last 2 years and after passing through waivers the same money. But again I'm not saying I want to sign him, just answering your question.

Re: The NO TEBOW zone
If anyone will know how to use Tebow it's Sean Payton.
Besides if Payton and Loomis wants Tebow, who am I to argue. Not saying I'd do it, but in Payton and Loomis I trust. |

Re: The NO TEBOW zone
As stated earlier in another Tebow thread, if he acquiesced to being a role player and a backup, and if it were at league min, it's a win win for everybody. And if there is any team that could make all this media frenzy go quiet in the night, as Brees is the man, it'd be the Saints. I can just envision the trick plays from SP with Tebow as the placekicker holder.

Re: The NO TEBOW zone
All joking aside, Seneca Wallace was signed (I assume) so he can run the option in practice (otherwise it makes no sense at all). Wouldn't Tebow be a better choice for running the option in practice?

Re: The NO TEBOW zone
No, you have to be able to throw to be effective in the option. Seneca can do that.

We should sign Tim Tebow
Preface this by saying I don't particularly like the guy
But seriously. The Saints would be the perfect place for him. There would be no QB controversy. No big national media sticking their noses in all the time and stirring up junk. He wouldn't cost much and could sit back and soak in all the knowledge he can from Brees and Payton. Tebow would be such a radical change of pace for our offense it would catch teams off-guard. And we have the kind of running backs, lineman and blocking wideouts that could make an option offense really hard to deal with. Third and short would be a cakewalk. Maybe I'm crazy, I think Payton is one of the few offensive minds in the game that could figure out how to maximize Tebow's skills. |
