this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; Pretty silly to be protesting about violence while playing the most violent sport on the planet voluntarily. Granted, they are getting paid well but that form of violence is ok. Just not one where people are not getting paid well. ...

Re: The NFL Is a Product I Refuse to Purchase Any Longer
Pretty silly to be protesting about violence while playing the most violent sport on the planet voluntarily. Granted, they are getting paid well but that form of violence is ok. Just not one where people are not getting paid well. They have to get "paid" dog. Then it's respectable.

Wtf?? They were not unified!! Some were sitting, some were standing, some were kneeling, some were locked arms, some were in the locker room, some were in the tunnel, and some kneeled before the anthem then stood of it. The NFL was ANYTHING BUT unified.
The damage control is in full-swing: Trump speaks with Cowboys owner after protest: 'Players will stand for Country' | Fox News Expect a never-ending barrage of patriotic NFL commercials crammed down your throat for the next few weeks. |

How about we go back to pre 2009 and the players come out after the anthem? Stand, sit, eat a banana whatever.

Steelers Fans Retaliating with Boycotts of NFL Merchandise Sellers
This is an unfortunate side-effect of a fan protest against the NFL. Also, the players currently protesting are already playing out existing contracts. They can do whatever they please without any direct blow except for maybe jersey sales. My feeling is that if the team loses revenue, they'll come looking to the season ticket holders to make up the difference as well. Am I reading this right? |
