Re: NFL preseason sees kneeling, raised fists, during national anthem
The grind down of the NFL will be slow. -2% here, -4% there. There is no way to fix their problems other than play in robot iron man suits.

If you're trying to attribute the NFL numbers being down roughly 9% to other media, knock yourself out. The NFL isn't readily available on other media. This isn't about race. It has never been about race. It sounds like you're arguing that the protesting isn't hurting the NFL numbers. It also sounds like you're trying to compare us white folk and "our" dislike for the players protesting the Anthem to Civil Rights Marches...and the Jim Crow era? Those will be the two silliest things I will read all day. |

I don’t care what you do or don’t like. You won’t stop it just like your ancestors didn’t stop the Civil Rights Marches when they were whining about that. So no, I’m not “trying” to do anything. I’m making a direct comparison in the dismissive nature shown throughout history when Black people air out their grievances. It’s about race, and it’s always been about race, considering the protests were sparked by Black men being killed by the police and a call for reform in the justice system. You should be thankful for a Kap, Cam Jordan, and Malcolm Jenkins. At least they’re still interested in talking it out. I suggest you find common ground and figure it out with people willing to rationalize with you. I’m not one of those people. I don’t agree with the protests, because I don’t believe in asking your oppressor to stop oppressing you. I just find most y’alls reasons for being against them disingenuous, and I speak to that. Y’all can debate amongst yourselves about “who the real oppressor is”, but you’ll only be convincing yourselves. “If you beg a man for victory and he gives it to you it’s his, not yours.” - Stokely Carmichael |

My ancestors weren’t trying to prevent that which you accuse. Your issues are staring back at you in the mirror. But keep blaming white people. That makes it easy. I love it when you quote 60s icons. The land grab isn’t going to happen here. |

I mean, I guess it’s fine to equate civilian on civilian homicide to public servant on civilian homicide in some circles. Like I said, just be happy they’re protesting about it. It definitely wouldn’t be my approach. |

Re: NFL preseason sees kneeling, raised fists, during national anthem
I opted not to attend the Air Force academy when I got nominated. My friends that did decide to serve feel strongly against the fans, not the players. Their words to me were that this is the whole reason they went and it was never about a flag or the anthem; it was about the people and their rights to be free.
