I don’t care what you do or don’t like. You won’t stop it just like your ancestors didn’t stop the Civil Rights Marches when they were whining about that. So no, I’m not “trying” to do anything. I’m making a direct comparison in the dismissive nature shown throughout history when Black people air out their grievances. It’s about race, and it’s always been about race, considering the protests were sparked by Black men being killed by the police and a call for reform in the justice system.

You should be thankful for a Kap, Cam Jordan, and Malcolm Jenkins. At least they’re still interested in talking it out. I suggest you find common ground and figure it out with people willing to rationalize with you. I’m not one of those people. I don’t agree with the protests, because I don’t believe in asking your oppressor to stop oppressing you. I just find most y’alls reasons for being against them disingenuous, and I speak to that. Y’all can debate amongst yourselves about “who the real oppressor is”, but you’ll only be convincing yourselves.

I would love the protest if they also focused on inter city violence. Sickening what happens in black communities and it has been going on for a long time. That is the real injustice. I would be protesting to get rid of Rahm Emanuel and bring in some real leadership.

People protest inner city violence all the time. There are copious efforts to curve the violence. I’m not sure why you highlighted Chicago though. Because it’s in the news the most? They aren’t the murder capital of the United States. St. Louis is. I’m not sure if you’ve actually delved into why violence exploded on the south side, but you should. I’m not banging the drum for Rahm Emanuel either. Again, the bipartisan debate isn’t something I partake in. I want Farrakhan to run Chicago.

I mean, I guess it’s fine to equate civilian on civilian homicide to public servant on civilian homicide in some circles. Like I said, just be happy they’re protesting about it. It definitely wouldn’t be my approach.
