Russell Wilson

May as well address this rumor.

First off, I don't think there is any way Seattle trades him. They were a playoff team this year, why blow it up?

Secondly, if he were up for trade, Seattle would want a HUGE haul for him. Something the Saints are not in position to give.

But, this is where the off season gets fun! Speculating.

Re: Russell Wilson

You addressed it by saying it all.
All points covered.
Cost in money, draft picks .....it would be a debt for Saints to take a few years to repay. Ans. No.
I like RWilson.

If you are going to address all the rumors surrounding a Saints QB and free agents then you might ant to take some vacation from work. This is officially off-season and there are thousands of hacks needing clicks on their blogs or channels.

Re: Russell Wilson

I think Pistol Pete may want to invest in some lineman that can block.
R. Wilson is the franchise but he can't win running for his life all the time.
(although he used to)

Re: Russell Wilson

I thought this was about Russ winning the Walter Payton Man of the Year award. Was hoping Demario would win though.

Anyway, congrats to Russell Wilson. Seems like a genuinely well liked guy who gives back to the community.

I know some media people who knew him when he was at NCSU. He played baseball and football for the Wolfpack. One of my friends said that Wilson was really suffering from food poisoning his freshman year, yet still made a trip with some football teammates to visit with recovering wounded warrior project soldiers at Camp LeJeune in Jacksonville, NC. These are some personal shots my friend took back then.

Re: Russell Wilson

Wilson transferred from NC State when coach Tom O'Brien told him he was replacing him with Mike Glennon as starter heading into 2011. That killed me when I found that out years later. I was always a huge Wolfpack fan and photo editor of the NCSU newspaper, The Technician, during the late 70's. What "could'a" been.

Actually he IS an authority on the subject matter. His name is Tim Peeler. We worked on the same newspaper, The Technician, in the late 70's-early 80's. He was a sports writer with the Salisbury Post, The Greenville News, the Durham Herald-Sun, and the Triangle sports bureau at Greensboro News & Record. He also worked for the NC State Athletic Department. He shared this story about Wilson three days ago with a group of current and former NCSU media people of which I am a member. He was the editor-in-chief and slightly earlier I was photo editor of The Technician.

He said that this was his first encounter of many with the NCSU freshman, Russell Wilson, and was told about the food poisoning by Wilson himself. Tim added that he was on the team bus for the excursion. This is fairly common. I've been on buses with NCSU teams on several occasions.

So who is actually the ?
