Yes sir, lack of talent. Not having Michael Thomas this season speak volumes. Not a lot of good route runners or guys able to make plays consistently.
I love what Deonte' Harris brings to this group however he's small and can't take 4 quarters of punishment at the position for 17 games. Trequan has been inconsistent his entire career with the Saints and Callaway is a solid #3 at this stage of his career.
Hate to beat a dead horse but you need legit receiving threats at this level for any type of success. Men willing to make the difficult catch in traffic, on 3rd down or late in ball games to keep drives alive.
I'm not all that down on Curtis as a positions coach. He can only do so much with the guys he's working with. Most are practically practice squad material. Remember that quote from Danny Abramowitz ? ... "you can't make chicken salad out of chicken s*** !".
Skill position(s) WR/TE's are way past due for upgrades. This is a position you simply can't ignore in the 2022 draft.
