WR-Z (2) 10 - Tre'Quan Smith

I could see a breakout season. 3quan was a vertical threat (same with Callaway) coming out of UCF & now he'll have a QB that make the long ball throw & keep defenses honest.

Not to mention this is year 4, in a contract year and knows the system.

Of course the key words are contract year. Show up or ship out. I was high on him his first year but his inconsistency got me off his band wagon by his second year. His third year just validated my opinion that he could make plays more often but he doesn't. I hope a strong armed QB hitting him deep will change my opinion on him. We really need him to step up to the #2 receiver this year. Hopefully he does.

Nah, see him as a solid #3. He excels at blocking but does not consistently create separation.

I truly believe if Callaway can stay healthy, he will be a legit #2 WR this season.

See the same. We'll see. It may be that Brees' issues with injuries the last two years may have retarded Smith's development or effectiveness.

He'd broke out in Year 3 if he was going to do it; he may flash in a couple of games this year, but it's time to move on from Tre'quan...

T-Rex, third on this list, will be missed; it's now or never for Davenport as he, Granderson and Turner have some big shoes to fill...

All four (4), or more, of our DEs must step up; and it'd be nice if Ryan Nielsen, Brian Young can get Tanoh Kpassagnon's game turned around as well...

Whose big shoes? I believe that Hendrickson was in the perfect situation to succeed short term. I'll bet those shoes suddenly become several sizes smaller in Cincy (like his arms). I'll wager he had his "heyday" in the Big Easy and from here on out he'll be relegated to being a role player again. Now others can take advantage here in New Orleans.

I agree.

I don't think he'll ever eclipse the season he had with the Saints.

I'm not saying that to downplay his potential, but I think this was a classic case of a contract year performance bump.
