Am hearing FB Sutton Smith is giving the Saints coaches pause over Armah as his snap count might suggest...

The tight end group looks like a third world pantry.

It was thin before the injuries; wasn't very impressed with Vannett as a No.2; had fingers crossed a TE would step in to take the No. 2 spot, making Vannett No.3...

While Juwan Johnson has really shown something, he's still really a big slot WR (Colston) and not big enough to be a true TE (Dan Arnold 2.0)...

Same as last year; think once Adebo gets rolling, adapting, improving, the concerns will settle some...

Wow, still no TreQuan Smith - How does he even make this roster?

They know what they have in Smith. They probably felt it was better to keep him on ice until game one.

Re: 2021 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook

Tre'Quan Smith's continued injury absence puts himself and Saints in a tough spot

"For what it’s worth, ESPN’s broadcast team reported that Smith is managing a hamstring injury during the Saints-Jaguars matchup.

Smith could very well return to practice tomorrow and not miss a beat until the Sept. 12 season opener against Green Bay. But that just feels too optimistic given how much time he’s spent out of action so far."

This would explain the caution. Rest is what's best for a hamstring. Smith and Winston worked out together all Summer long so they shouldn't have an issue with timing.

“The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” — Winston Churchill
