I appreciate everyone’s input. It’s an interesting discussion. I knew this would be a worthwhile thread to start! Again, the underlying premise of this is not attack him and his character. Just to cogitate (one of my favorite words BTW) on how the team can succeed from here.

A professional athlete who has access to scientific, medical, dietary support; state-of-the-art, non-weight-bearing aerobic exercise equipment and managers...

He was grossly over-weight and out-of-shape...

No crap. He was injured. Have you ever tried doing cardio work with a broken leg and a high ankle sprain? No doubt you'd come in over-weight and out of shape.

There are a number of members here than cannot avoid attacking Peat and his character. It's beyond frustrating. It's as though dwelling on negatives from past is more satisfying than looking to the future.
