this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; The Saints rarely draft well in the 1st round. Hopefully we can make up for this one in the later rounds....

Quan or #2 and Trautman our tight end. Hardly any LB ‘s on the roster. Empty at CB2.
Baffling |

For the record, Bobby Hebert agrees with us. He ain't happy. Deuce seems to think it's a solid pick.

Re: NFL Draft First Round Watch Party Mega-Thread
We botched it badly. All reports said that we were trying to trade up around the top 10 because we only had about 16 players with first round grades on our board. We couldn’t get a trade done and we ended up taking a late 2nd/early 3rd round player.

Re: NFL Draft First Round Watch Party Mega-Thread
So as it stands
Little cap room and few decent FA And don't say we can convert bonuses as it only screws next year. Not having wiggle room caused Jack Rabbit, Sanders and Brown's releases. Zach Baun LB2 Andrew Dowell LB3 Patrick Robinson CB2 PJ Williams CB3 Shy Tuttle jumps from DT4 to DT2 In a division with offenses Tampa Evans, Goodwin, Brown, Gronk, Miller Falcons Jones, Ridley, Pitts Panthers McCafgrey, Moore, Anderson And the Saints offense consists of Kamara and Thomas and a bunch of unproven talent |

Re: NFL Draft First Round Watch Party Mega-Thread
This rising stuff is crap imho.
Always is, teams watched him for a few years on tape and didn't see enough to have him high on boards. Then he starts doing things in practice and in shorts and running shoes and all of a sudden they are interested. Of you are shifting talent up multiple rounds after they stop playong games and you start judging on bench press, pro days and a 40 times you got problems |

Re: NFL Draft First Round Watch Party Mega-Thread
Carl Granderson is probably a better pass rusher than this guy right now. We just used a first on a back-up DE. I’m sick.
