It’s unfortunate that you are unable/unwilling to see The possible connection between this pick and some of the other draft moves that Resulted in misses that the organization has made in the past. I don’t think it’s a coincidence, for example, that the team had historically been Linebacker Thin when they refuse to spend any significant draft capital on the position. Jury is still out on Baun.

Sorry to enlighten you to this fact, Boston, but not every pick works out. Whoa! Gnarly, dude! No crap?

When the hell did I say they ever did? Way to straw man.

You were trying to connect pick results from earlier drafts to future ones. Go back. You spelled that out quite clearly. That's exactly what you said.

No, I was pointing out the similarities in reaching for a pick like Baptiste and seeing him fail and spending 2 higher draft picks (since you were triggered by me saying first rounders) on Davenport and having him clearly not living up to that investment and this years first round pick. How you got me saying every draft pick should be a hit is beyond comprehension. I’m guessing you knew that and are just being adversarial. Otherwise you aren’t very good at reading comprehension.

Injuries never warrant someone being labeled a "bust." When the man is on the field, he's a disruptive force. He has constantly put pressure on opposing QBs. He gets sacks and opens things up for others to make plays. He went in the draft where most had him. The Saints did what they had to in order to have him on the roster, and it was probably the biggest need at the time. I'm simply a couch potato scout like everyone else here. Everything I've stated on the topic is truth.

I can admit when we take someone who is a bust. Jonathan Sullivan was a bust that cost us 2 picks. Davenport is nowhere near the same category.

Excellent input.

Why others cannot comprehend is baffling.

I'm thinking the injury bug is why people keep calling him that. It's ridiculous. His play on the field says otherwise. I'm hoping he can finally stay healthy this year. Everyone will shut up if and when that happens.

I know. It's like they don't watch the games.
