So, I don’t think I’ve ever used the term Bust (I may be wrong), but you think Davenport’s production up to this point in his career has been worthy of 2 first round picks? If so, you don’t know nearly as much about football as you think.

All the propaganda has gotten to me. We really won't know for about another year, but for now, I'm excited and want to see him on the field! Fingers crossed for great players in the next two days.

Well, given the fact that the two firsts were both at the tail-end of the round the value of the two scenarios are virtually identical. I keep hearing "two 1st round picks". They are not much different than two high 2nd rounders.

Once picks are made it is ridiculous to dwell on them. Water under the bridge. I'll guarantee you that anyone truly in the business of football do not equate a player's production to where they were picked. That is fan mentality. You know, those people that "don’t know nearly as much about football as you think."

From what I've read the Saints tried really hard to move up. I'm glad that they still have draft capital and can fill in some holes.

I'm hoping they use that capital to move up a couple of times. The talent available in rounds five through seven aren't much different than the UDFA's. That's where some of the rest of the holes can be filled, don't you think?

Pardon me if I find your “guarantee” less then trustworthy. This is where some cross over into the “afraid to criticize” Loomis/Payton that others point out. Your Pollyanish Frozen gif just demonstrates that. If you are too scared to review and criticize the mistakes of the past then they are going to be repeated.

The past is the past. There has never been anyone that was in charge of NFL draft selections that didn't have a miss. Not to say at all that your claim of Davenport's selection was a miss.

History is repeated. That's every draft pick isn't a success. Surprise! Welcome to the real world.

Now let's just enjoy and hope for the best.
