Exactly. Even more of a reason to have more bodies to step in if needed. Do you argue with your door knob when your internet service is interrupted?

Kawaan Baker will have to excel on special teams to have a shot at a roster spot. Anything is possible.

Good luck to him.

But of course... as all rookies and UDFA. That's a given.

Reading that medicals (health and history) were very limited, inconsistent, or unavailable on many rated prospects for this draft...

Wonder if there really will be an investigation re: some teams got medicals on players upon request, but others teams didn't receive them at all...

Payton even made a post draft comment to the effect that for players on their board they chose they had clean bills of health on them...

This is where not having a combine really hurts, because when everyone is in one place, you can correct oversights of uneven flow of common information...

We're likely carrying five to six wide receivers on the roster; this is how I'd rank 'em...

WR1 - Mike Thomas
WR2 - TreQuan Smith (best case for him)
WR3 - Marquez Callaway

Now, let me stop here and say this is based on actual experience; right now, Callaway looks to have the higher ceiling of the WR2, WR3...

WR4 - Deonte Harris

Because of Harris' role as KR/PR, believe we'll carry six WRs, so...

Then you got these guys...

19 - Jake Lampman (RFC 2021)
83 - Juwan Johnson (ERFA 2021)
84 - Lil’Jordan Humphrey (ERFA 2021)
00 - Jalen McCleskey (FA 2021)
00 - Kawaan Baker (R7, P255)

So he's got to show enough to be in the top 2 or 3 of that third tier group...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

It wouldn’t surprise me if Winston has a good connection with Humphrey or someone else he had a lot of practice with doing backup reps.

I wonder if SP has ever thought of moving Juwan to TE ? With his skill set, he seems like he'd be a little bit more effective there in this offense.

As for Southlake (Jordan Humphrey), I won't hold my breath. Decent blocker but lacks separation (biggest knock coming out of UT) & ball skills. With his size, he should be winning more battles against smaller CB's off the line.

Maybe he's learned since his days at Royal Stadium? He sure seems effective in the red zone.

Re: UDFA Signings

Syracuse cornerback Atrilleon "Trill" Williams is a 6-foot-3, 208-pound defensive back who elected to opt out of his junior season midway through the 2020 campaign because of injuries. In three seasons with the Orange, he racked up 93 tackles, three forced fumbles, 10 pass breakups and four interceptions.

Will he make inroads in the depth chart, and gulp... even get "Atrilleon" interceptions and pass breakups?
