I think the defense ate the cheese and thought the Giants would crumble because of the environment. The much derided Garrett also basically outcoached Payton. Gotta be careful who you make light of in this league. |

We were 2-2 this time last year. The wheels haven’t completely fallen off yet

Re: Observation From the Saints' Loss to the Giants
Just watched the highlights and wow.
It feels like when they were up 21-10 they just stopped playing and felt that was the game. The game seemingly swung on the next drive. Taysom gets stopped on 3rd and 2 35 yard punt return by Giants 50 Yard TD by Saquon 2 point conversion by Jones The D had no answer, Adebo was horrendous and caused multiple coverage breakdowns as well as allowing every single throw to be completed on him. Offense needs to do more in first half, but wow. How do you let an 0-3 team that had converted 2-7 3rd downs going into the 4th quarter, score 17 unanswered points and win in OT. This Saints squad is not good. |

I guess Payton will really be sticking it to the Buccaneers and Bruce Arians by fixing Jameis’ INT problem while we go 9-8 and they repeat as Super Bowl champs.

9-8 might be pushing it though. This defense is nowhere near as good as people think it is. Both our wins appear to be more due to luck than skill. |
