I will, however, say that If you had told fans before the season started that he would have 8 TDs and 2 Ints with a 64 completion% and no fumbles lost with no Michael Thomas that 8 of every 10 fans would have taken that in a heartbeat. If you can’t win with that type of QB performance, then you have bigger problems.

Hill also had an intact defense that was capable of winning those games on their own last year.

What is an intact defense?

Well, T-rex was doing well and Jenkins was a good CB2. David O was playing and Davenport was healthy for those rare games.

I still don't understand why we let Teddy walk. Teddy would have this team 4-0 right now and in my opinion would have been the best option after Drew. Winston might do well, but he needs the handcuffs taken off along with weapons back.

Unfortunately we couldn't hold a good man down. Things were shaky when he went to Carolina but when he got to Denver he's lighting the field up. Unfortunate that he took that questionable hit during the Ravens game.

Teddy walked because Teddy is a grown man and wanted to walk, he wanted to start. So that and throwing money at a back up QB when you against the cap every year isn't a luxury many teams can afford.

Teddy's contract is $11.5mm WInston's is $2.5mm

This, JP. The defense wasn't missing key pieces as we have experienced thus far this season. Not damaged or impaired as Smash pointed out in the definition. That why I used that word.

How about four games, four receptions and 21 yards?. I know he was outmatched against the D-lineman but you cant hold that blatantly. That was a huge momentum swing. I really thought he was going to show out. I was excited to see him this year.

Juwan Johnson - 6/64 yards & 3 TDs thus far. JJ has definitely been a bright spot on offense thus far.

The one stat that really stood out to me was the fact that Kamara was not targeted a single time in the passing game. Kamara averages 85 receptions a year and is always one of our best players in the passing game.

This will be a roller coaster ride. Suspensions, injuries at key positions, and a new QB throwing to a bunch of undrafted guys who can’t separate.

Bobby H was backtracking in this clip :(.

One more observation from the game. There were patches of empty seats all around the stadium. I know every season ticket eligible seat has been sold, therefore there were groups of season ticket holders that did not show up. These are not cheap seats. My guess is that the ticket holders were not vaccinated and didn't want the hassle of getting tested, yet also didn't want to give up their season tickets.

It doesn't feel like 9-8 is probable. It's possible but not probable.jmho

...or didn't wanna use the stairs, which are the only option now... no more ramps. They're gone. People are packed like ground meat now entering and exiting the Superdome. Do masks help with that?

I read that the ramps will go back up after the construction is completed. Don't quote me though.

That's why I pointed out the current setup is temporary due to the current round of upgrades.

Drew didn't make this many excuses in 15 years.

Unfortunately though, we may have to endure this if Payton doesn't see the detriment it's having.

I'd love Hill to be in the game full time, just at RB / FB or TE.

What's more, how can you blame a cleat being stuck for making the decision to throw to a 5"6 receiver that was double covered?

He ran the play Sean Payton called. I understand he probably had a check down, but they were looking for the big play.

Simply stop taking your QB out when they (Brees, now Winston) are in rhythm. Red-zone or goal line Taysom I understand.

All it’s doing is disrupting timing & killing scoring drives.

Old school, smash mouth football is still king.
