Observations from the Saints' Win against the Redskins

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Breaking in a new QB without our star WR, LT or C and we’re 3-2 at the bye. It hasn’t been pretty but I’ll happily take it. Let’s get some guys healthy and get a fresh start in two weeks....

This. We have spent the first five weeks as a shell of our potential lineup.

With Jameis feeling the wrath of coach I'm glad it came with a win to soften the blow.
Coach P is gradually eradicating the bugs out.
Hopefully Drew can help with him floating those high throws.

So just for fun I extrapolated Winston’s stats over a 17 game season and he’s currently on pace for 3,003 yards/41 TDs/10 INTs.

My biggest observation is how coachable Winston is. Sean Payton was laying into him on the sidelines and he never looked angry. He never snapped back. He just shook his head and said yes sir.

I noticed that too. He kept his cool. He wants to play within the system I believe. He needs a system with some players.

Definitely better material than Scam Newton!

Just how well did Brees do under SP. I honestly can't remember his first year under SP, besides looking at the stats.

He’s carried himself very well. I can’t wait until we actually have WR’s after the bye and then we can really start to fully assess his on-field performance. Although, I am very impressed that he’s made it to this point with a 4:1 TD to INT ratio. I think the best is yet to come.

Great bounce back performance for the rookie Adebo.

Ice up Taysom and Deonte!

We won the game in a sloppy way and gave a ton of things for coaches and team to correct over the bye week. It's ideal timing I guess.
