Re: Jeff Ireland
So he is some kind of assistant GM who doesnt know personnel but helps out with the cap. The result of his help is that we didnt make the playoffs and we are still the most over the cap of any team in the nfl by far. If Jaguars and Lions assistants are not getting calls for head coaching jobs, it kind of makes sense that the team that is last in salary cap with nothing to show for it is not getting their front office assistants called for gm jobs.

During a conversation this spring about the Saints’ salary cap maneuvering, one league source said off-hand, “Hype up Khai. Khai is unbelievable. His knowledge is the most in-depth I've seen of any cap guy." |

We need a cap guy who is the best at balancing the budget to reduce dead money and allowing us to pursue depth at positions such as wide receiver.

And there's every reason to expect another year making a run for the playoffs in 2022.

Speaking of GM searches, this is cool!
I read about this yesterday before seeing this tweet just now. Vikings request to interview Eagles exec Catherine Raiche for general manager position |

We had a winning season but missed the playoffs. Cincy took our best pass rusher and made the playoffs. Buffalo took our best receiver and made the playoffs. I would hate if we lost our best personnel man because we had to keep the guys who are an expert in cutting lines at the payday loan window.
