You're using it to attack me.

Since I don't have a beef with you, and since I'm not aware of any other members here who have a beef with you, I'm going to gracefully exit this exchange with you.

You can attack me - I truly don't care. Because this isn't about you, even after you injected yourself. Now you have a GREAT day sir.

See what I did there? So easy any 5 y/o can do it.

I wasn't attacking you, I was merely expressing my contempt of your usage of a homophobic slur and the lack of maturity that conveyed in my opinion.

And yet you called me a 5 year old? Seriously it's okay. I don't care.

Anybody who defends speedo's behavior here can't know much about maturity on the internet tho, or they're not paying attention.

That's not an attack. Just my opinion.

Best true power style we run under Payton was the 3 headed monster running attack and it worked out pretty good, throw in a really good TE and add a couple of this years FA WR's we're top notch again. I'm not so worried about the O-line simply because Payton (usually) knows how to build a good line even though Peat and Ruiz need to get their crap together or demoted to backups.

When Peat plays well he is a really good guard, big and pretty mobile, moves people. The problem is that he very seldom plays to that level.I've been pretty patient with my opinions on him, seeing how I thought he would develop some concistency and hopefully raise his floor closer to his ceiling.

Now however I think its time to go in another direction. Either trough FA or the draft. We need somebody who can consistantly open holes in the running game.

How much would it cost us to cut him?

Speaking of TEs, what I've seen from our group this year is a willingness to block. None of them have really wowed us in the passing game but I've seen good effort from the whole group when it comes to blocking, and chansing bodies downfield to hit.

I'd bring Smith back if he'd be willing to sign for something close to what he had on his last contract. I would expect him to fight for the 3-4 WR spots.

Harris is a given due to his ability as a returner. He has (vertically) limited upside as a WR but can be a decet target on deep balls every now and then.

Callaway is cheap and seems to be getting better. He lacks a little speed but otherwise he has some decent tools for someone who was undrafted.

I'd like to see us add someone who can really stretch the field on the outside but also get work done on shorter routes.

Well, I didn't call you a 5 year old. I asked if you were 5, because I was actually hoping your use of words were due to lack of maturity or a lapse in judgement.

The other alternative would be that they stem from hate, and I wish that isn't the case, because hate only breeds more hate.

My intention is not to defend another forum member or their actions - it is merely to encourage civility in the public discussions on this board.

I agree whole hardedly with your post. Peat is a mountain of a man and being as big as he is I don't think he has a mean streak in him at all and I believe that's the problem. He has the tools but to soft, As far as a TE, your assessment is spot on, decent enough blocking but not much in the hands department, I'm looking for a TE that can do both very well, makes life easier on the run and passing game.
