Thanks. I wasn't clear on when his contract was up.

There's a little ambiguity about Payton's contract. He signed a five year extension in 2019 on his contract which was set to expire at the end of 2021.

Saints, Sean Payton agree to five-year contract extension

September 15, 2019 1:03 pm CT

"The New Orleans Saints and head coach Sean Payton have agreed to terms on a five-year contract extension to keep him in town through the 2026 season, as first reported by Jay Glazer of FOX Sports. Payton previously inked a five-year extension in March 2016, which was set to expire in 2021."

These are the terms that Triplett and Duncan have been referring to all along through this. Rapaport is the only one mentioning 2024 as the end date and he based it on spotrac.com which doesn't record contract details for coaches in depth as they do players.
