Troy Aikman's decision to leave FOX and go to Amazon likely spurred this decision. My guess is that Payton takes over Troy's old spot.

That said, attracting potential high impact offensive free agents just suffered a tremendous blow.

Caldwell would not be bad but if Tony Dungy would want to come on down I would welcome him with open arms.

Jesus going to be some rough years ahead. Losing a Hall of Fame QB and now a Hall a Fame Coach back to back. Won't be a easy transition.

It only took Payton three years to win a Lombardi. A good coach and FO(?) can get us out of this mess fairly quickly. One thing about Payton, if there is a player he covets he will move heaven and earth to make them a Saint. I hope we bring in strong leadership to continue our winning ways that Payton developed.

We definitely need a stronger GM with veto power over the HC on personnel decisions...
