Nothing short of a NFC CHAMPIONSHIP game for McCarthy’s Cows, he’s gone.

Payton will become the front runner for the job.

I'd be surprised to see Payton coach in the NFL again while Goodell is still Commissioner.

Leave no stone unturned.

Hopefully, we interview more offensive-minded coaches. Give Pete Carmichael a shot.

Just not sold on DA as HC.

Take that name off the list; still think DA is the favorite...

Personally I have tried to keep my trap shut. With my age I've learned its wise to do just that for a while when these kinds of things blow up. If Flores truly risked his coaching future then, as I have said, I have mad respect for him.

If it is NOT true, then this article will truly resonate, and idiots like speedo who have filled up multiple threads with "information" should be held to account. Race-baiting makes me want to vomit.

It is definitely required reading. Thanks for posting!

Quote:

The race-bait idiots at ESPN won’t say this. Flores makes their job easier. This is all just a re-enactment of Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem kneeling. Kaepernick’s protest did not advance the cause of black people. It simply heightened animosity toward police, promoted the counterproductive “defund the police” movement, and increased the racial divide. All of it led to elevated violent crime rates in black neighborhoods.

Fingers crossed that the Flores lawsuit (with peripherals) + the Washington harassment cover up (with peripherals) will be enough to finally drive a stake in POS RG's heart Maybe Chucky's lawsuit could end up chipping in as well.

I wouldn't have a problem with that. Carmichael is a pretty good play caller and I agree that he is a thinker and innovator rather than superior motivator like Payton.

That's an interesting take - Few men are move enviable than those who're happy, content, and perform their responsibilities well...

or...he didn't want to interview for a job he knew he wouldn't get. Just a possibility.

I have a feeling he knows that it's Allen's job already. They all do. They probably feel they have a good thing going on with that staff. A little luck with health and they are in position to compete for it all. Carmichael's offense with with Winston at the helm should easily take the South this coming season with what we already have plus a few additions. Once you are in the dance there's always a chance.

The one that got away was Dan Campbell, I live up here and see every game the Lions play. Glenn also is slowly becoming into his own up here as a DC. It was a really good move by Campbell bringing Glenn in with him. If Campbell could sway Carmichael to leave and bring him in as the Lions OC as much as I hate to say it those 3 could bring the Lions from the bottom to contenders. I don't think Glenn is going to get the HC job here.

Was kinda hoping we went the route of an "offensive-minded HC" but maybe not. At least we still have Pete Carmichael on staff.

But like you said, we'll see.

Kinda off-topic can you believe we'll see a 36 (McVay) and 38 (Taylor) year old HC in the Super Bowl? That's gotta be some kind of record.

That is wild. Seems like there is a lot to say about talent in both teams too. Chase/Bureaux is an instant hit. Rams are stacked at both sides of the ball. Really noticeable too is how well OBJ has been with Rams. Compare him to how things went with Antonio Brown.

You are correct!

Now both coaches will go head to head in Super Bowl LVI–the first Super Bowl to feature two coaches under the age of 40.

Dolphins have hired 49ers OC Mike McDaniel as their head coach. That leaves just the Texans and us. The Texans are allegedly about to hire Josh McCown so we have plenty of good options.

Head scratcher if hired. Josh has like 0.0 experience as a coach . McNair and that front office don't have a clue.

Texans going Texans. They are a mess.

Funny. But from the little I’ve read, “second interviews” normally are full day affairs. Of course I don’t know what I’m talking about.

That's exactly what Lovie Smith will bring to that team; terrific hire...

Re: 2022 New Orleans Saints: Coaching Staff

Regarding the Saints assistants, as stated, secondary coaches make the best DCs, and I'd like to see Richard get that shot, so long as he retains secondary coach...

I'd like to see Pete Carmichael remain as OC, considering injuries and such, he's been a steady force and would like to see what he'd offer without Sean in the room...

If there are any assistants who are vulnerable, Receivers coach Curtis Johnson and Offensive Line coach Brendan Nugent helmed underwhelming units last year...

In particular, the poor development, growth of Ruiz, Calloway really stood out and as DA was already in the room, guess the call will be made if coaching was an issue...
