Ah, the ole, Real NFL Network; DA first broke into the NFL as a QC coach under Wade Phillips when Phillips was the Falcons DC, so that certainly follows...

Rams pass game coordinator and TE coach huh? That’s an interesting one.

Wes P? Been around the game since he was a toddler, dad and grandpa are NFL legends.

Innovative, creative and a knack for knowing how to get players in position to make plays inside the red zone.

I’d like that hire.

Respectfully Chris, that may not have been Drew's strong suit. Lol

Hadn’t seen it posted anywhere but Scottie Montgomery completed his interview on yesterday for the OC job.

Now this would be interesting. Jay Gruden. And Carmichael is not out for sure.

Jay Gruden runs that West Coast offense we like but I’m not a fan.

Was thinking the same. Idk what he's really done.

On a side note...why are we looking for an OC anyway? Has anyone figured out what Carmichael is doing???

Yup. That's the way I feel, too. It's likely due diligence.

Is it me or is the coordinator search taking longer than it should?

Alternate Theory: Carmichael ends up being the OC, Saints are doing same thing they did in the HC Search, see if there's anything better than the in-house option...

Re: 2022 New Orleans Saints: Coaching Staff

I hope the Saints give Scottie Montgomery serious consideration before they make their decision at OC.

I understand he's an expert in RPO's (see RB JTaylor) & was very successful with that up in Indy. His background is coaching WRs, RB & QB's. Based on the Colts forum, they'd hate to lose him as a coach.

We have Dougie M on staff (experienced coach), however I think it would be a PLUS to mix in a new, young innovative coach with fresh ideas.

Change would be good for this Saints offense.

All of our empties are seeming to take forever compared to a lot of other teams.

Most teams had a head start, fewer candidates available right now...

You'd think whatever happened would be the best - primarily because your a lonely little fanboy without a clue.

Let’s get the DC hired asap.

Kris Richard or Nielsen are my top 2 candidates.

Defense was solid in 2021. In my mind, it was post season solid.

Build on that.

AsylumGuido 02-17-2022 03:00 PM

Re: 2022 New Orleans Saints: Coaching Staff

Underhill agrees with you, K_Major, on Nielsen as DC.
