Re: Alvin Kamara Arrested
A couple of points to note in this case are that there are four defendants, Kamara and three others and that there are two separate charges being considered, one a misdemeanor and the other a felony. The misdemeanor is for simple assault while the felony deals with serious bodily harm (a fractured orbital). Assault would be fairly straight forward, but to pin the felony charge on Kamara the prosecution would have to prove beyond a shadow of doubt that it was Kamara that fractured that orbital. It is rumored that the video shows Kamara landing eight punches. It is also rumored that the video shows the other defendants kicking and stomping on the head of the alleged victim. It can be suggested that the fracture more likely occurred during the kicking and stomping portion of the encounter.
As the previous interview with Drew Davenport points out, there hasn't been any movement since April with the State still not having brought forth official charges. While it is always prudent to have options in place, I have a feeling a Kamara suspension isn't going to be anything to be addressed this season. |

Re: Alvin Kamara Arrested
Def hoping for no suspension! 🤞. Even so, I’m (hopefully unjustifiably) worried. Kamara gets dinged up. He’s not a big back. He’s missed games in all but one season he’s been drafted and plays banged up often. He’s Only had 200 carries once (last year) and averaged under 4.0 YPC. I know the Oline sucked and there were no WRs and the QBs suffered… but AK is another year older and most RBs don’t get better as they get older. Not sure Ingram, JJ, Ozzy and Smith give me confidence as a group. Time will tell.

Re: Alvin Kamara Arrested
It bothers me that he lost his **** and acted like an idiot. I lost a lot of respect for him. I get it if it was self defense, but running the guy down and beating the holy hell out of him with your buddies kicking and stomping on him is pretty cowardly. Just gross.

Re: Alvin Kamara Arrested
This is true, as well. Only a handful of RB's in todays game account for as much offense as does Kamara. Even a big, punishing RB like Henry, 2nd highest paid at $12.5 million per year, with the run centric Titans has been limited in playing time recently. The same with Delvin Cook and Nick Chubb, also both over $12 million.

Agreed. He probably should be suspended and fined.

Re: Alvin Kamara Arrested
Oh, he'll no doubt be suspended. Not sure what good the fine would do as it is defined by the CBA as pretty much a token amount. The lost game checks will dwarf any fine he could have received.
Yes, what he did was stupid, as was hanging around his "posse" which probably exacerbated the situation. But, I know I did stupid stuff at that young age. I'll bet many of us did. I will withhold a blanket loss of respect until I see how he responds moving forward. |
