Last player I remember being caught on camera punching out someone never played another down in the NFL … I think the NFL and owners take this kind of behavior very seriously as well they should. Actions have consequences … this was not a good look for Alvin and crew.

Not advocating just saying how similar incident have been handled in the past. I would agree whatever penalties that are handed out by the NFL will be appealed and as they say “it is what it is”.

Was there integrity when the NFL was being sued for concussions and then they nailed us to the cross to make a statement that they were all about safety?

Big difference. The one was a case of domestic violence against a female by a single individual. The other was a case with possible indications of self-defense where the person of interest was the least involved of the four individuals that took part in the act.

Once it gets past the criminal portion of this event, you are correct on what level of sanction the NFL will be looking to impose. The “Optics” of AK and his friends actions are terrible and that will play a large part in the NFL’s response. |
