Nobody has mentioned the possibility that Sean Payton retired from the NFL to take the MCAT, apply to medical schools, and become a doctor. If Sean can correctly predict that a soon 32 year old Taysom Hill who has been injured in every season as a full time college or pro starter and most seasons as a part timer and is coming off a lisfranc injury and multi-week concussion and primarily has plus skills as a physical running threat can become a productive long term starting QB in this league, Sean should strongly consider becoming a medical doctor. If he is not considering this, he should count his blessings that Drews shoulder held up when Drew was already a pro bowl level QB and not fall into the trap of beginners luck in gambling and force that addiction on our franchise because he rolled a few sevens his first time at the craps table. Drew Brees had one injury and a safe style of play and was 27 and already quite proven when he joined the Saints. Taysom Hill will be 32 next season, has a long history of injuries, has only a handful of starts, and relies extensively on a risky style of play. Sean ain’t a medical doctor. His judgement on the most important question about Hill is guided only by the gamblers phenomenon of beginners luck.
