I'm going to take the liberty of posting this as the original poster did so not long ago - and note this is ONE of MANY instances, so for those of you who don't get it, this is why I am and will continue to harass this little

until he apologizes to the board for this and so very much more:

Been down in NOLA for the wedding of our psuedo son. Just got back. Here's the details of the latest restructure, Lattimore.

MAR 12 2022
Marshon Lattimore, CB
Converted $8M of 2022 base salary & a $15M roster bonus into signing bonus, clearing $18.45M of cap space with New Orleans (NO)

This one has us knocking on the door of being compliant. We still have plenty of other options left!

With possible dealing in the works with the Texans on Watson any restructuring would come to a standstill. Restructured contracts won't work in a trade deal because of the newly created guarantees which would immediately hit the cap. That means only those players not restructured to this point would be in play on a trade deal.

But, the Saints only have until end of business Wednesday to get to the cap threshold and they are still around $5 million shy. Cutting Roby would get them there without any other transactions.
