Well it looks like those that were concerned that Carmichael "requested a demotion" can sleep easier tonight. It appears he stepped aside to be considered among outside competition.

I think the odds of retaining Jameis just increased with the offense remaining closer to home.

Yeah I don’t know about this. Pete’s spent years trying to avoid being in a position of authority because apparently it’s just not his style. Now we have a defensive head coach so it’s squarely on Carmichael to run the offense.

I'm pretty sure that I have faith in Pete..pretty sure.
It's almost as if Sean set the stage before he left..

So it’s the Sean Payton Saints minus Sean Payton and we’re expecting improvement?

What are you worried about we got Doug Marrone...
But seriously our O-Line should show improvement.

“Hopefully” it’s the Saints minus Payton...but plus Thomas and minus the fascination Payton had that Hill can be a viable QB. Simply getting rid of some of Payton’s ideas including his “projects” may go a long way to helping the team. Baptiste anyone? I don’t want to hack on Book either, but he is a project guy I doubt many HCs would have taken when/where Payton drafted him. Hope he proves me dead wrong.
