And knowing the playbook is only part of it. With Carmichael still in place as the OC the actual terminology should be the same. I have heard many a QB say that the most difficult part of transitioning to another system, whether with another team or with the change of systems with the same team, is mastering the new terminology. And this is coming from very intelligent individuals.

How would you know how 'intelligent' they are? You, for example, have a degree. I know this because you've made it a point to let us all know on more than a few occasions. But you're not very smart without twitter. So, how would you know?

The guy is a free agent and arguably the best free-agent on the market, why does he want to come here? Money... Head coach.... Good receiving corps.... A notable talent to develop him.... Stop me when I hit on something we presently have that other options do not.
I can agree with your post. I think he still signs here to stick it to Tampa, not the only reason, but a win over them with him under C has to feel good mentally if nothing else. I doubt he would ever say it, but.

Guess we'll see.

Scratch off Desean W, ARod, Jimmy G & Russ. Not realistic options.

Just to give you an idea of QBs that will hit the market in Free Agency:

Andy Dalton, Tyrod Taylor, Geno Smith, Old man Joe Flacco, Fig Newton, 2Glove Teddy, Mariota, Trubisquit, & the Harvard Guy (Fitz).

PLAN B could get mediocre to ugly if JW signs elsewhere.

From that group I'd only bring in Teddy!

If Payton was still here I’d try out Mariota.

I always liked Fitzpatrick. But he’s coming off an injury, isn’t he ?

Yeah. And he's about as old as we are, Boston.

Now that Payton is "semi retired" & out of those coaching meetings, do you see Dennis/Pete C continue to move forward with Taysom as the "Joker" type in this offense?

An interesting question K. They have to do something with him. Doubt he gets cut or traded.

I just wonder if they're as high on him as a possible QB as Payton was. If not, can they use him like Payton did in that joker role?

The guy is an athlete. idk. Make him a TE or a RB or something if he's not gonna be a QB. Lol.

I'm sure he'll see the field one way or another. No way they're gonna pay him that coin to sit the bench and be a #2 QB.
