The Falcons' reporter, Jeff Schultz with The Athletic, just said on NFL Radio that Atlanta has known about this whole deal since some time in February. I suppose they were waiting on the appeal. Given that Ridley has already admitted to it publicly any appeal would have been nothing more than a formality. So he is gone for at least a year, if not more.

I hope that after Roger Godhell gets his new contract that he is terminated quickly for fixing games or at least managing them differently. It is easy for Godhell to make entertainment decisions to follow his agenda about helping to determine who goes to the big game. My money says the gamblers won't like that.
