Breaking news - Honey Badger, Landry, OBJ and all former LSU Tigers are signing with the Saints for the veteran minimum

If they do in fact sign Jarvis, who do you cut at WR? Kevin White can't seem to catch a cold but he's a solid contributor on special teams.

Personally, I'd take Southlake (Lil Jordan)Humphrey over TSmith .

I’d go ahead and cut Kevin White.

I believe Kevin White will get cut regardless, if he makes the team it's likely due to an injury issue. With Landry, I am kind of viewing him as an upgrade over Callaway. Not saying Callaway would get cut, but it could put Callaway or Smith on the bubble for sure.

I seriously think they have a higher opinion on Smith than some fans around here. He's been forced to assume the WR1 and WR2 duties over much of the past two years. I really think they feel he'll thrive when facing that third or fourth DB in coverage.

But, I agree that if we add a veteran QB such as Landry that White would likely be the first to go.

Dennis Allen’s team now.

Going up & grabbing Olave is moving in the right direction at WR.

Looking forward to camp and seeing different (coaches too) faces compete.

This.

Sean Payton was just saying the Saints don't need a WR in the 1st Round. Dennis Allen obviously disagreed. Payton was too stuck in his ways while the NFL was changing around him. The Rams at their peak had Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, and Odell Beckham. That's without mentioning Van Jefferson. That's three #1's. Now they have Kupp and Allen Robinson. Still two #1 options.

The Bengals had Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd. The year before you had Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Antonio Brown vs Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, and Travis Kelce. That receiver/tight end room has to go crazy to compete. In truth, we still need one more moving piece like Odell Beckham or Jarvis Landry to seal the deal. It gives you the depth to make it through injuries and also makes you close to unstoppable when everybody is fully healthy because most teams don't have a good enough DB room to handle all that. However...we do.

Mebbe.... we'll see if one of the rooks step up. If Landry is a WR3 , it's an expensive WR3. Not sure it's worth the price, even if we have the cap space.
