With under six minutes in the fourth quarter, Hill took a carry for a 9-yard gain to the New Orleans 47 on a third-and-1 to keep a drive alive. Two plays later, facing a second-and-5 at the Minnesota 48, Hill took the snap left and broke through a pair of tackles before rattling off a bruising 28-yard run to the Minnesota 20.

THEN

On the next play, Brees had the ball stripped by Danielle Hunter and the Vikings recovered to end the scoring threat and maintain Minnesota’s 20-17 lead.

Brees was horrible against Tampa Bay in his last game. Why wasn't Jameis Winston not given more snaps?
I think Sean was trying to let Brees go out on his own terms.

And nothing I have seen from Tayson makes me feel better about him being in there. He could move better but not a great passer.

Maybe that will unfortunately be part of his legacy stick. He did nothing to develop a young QB as a backup/future starter. He sure didn’t plan well for Brees replacement if he thought it was gonna be Hill.

As for Brees going out on his own terms. You completely missed my point.

Brees went out without once feared arm. As you observed Hill isn't a great passer yet he did what Brees couldn't do for 3 years. Go deep.

Devry Henderson played with the Saints until 2012, and caught six 50-plus yard touchdowns from Brees.

In Two years Kenny Stills caught four 50-yard touchdowns from Brees.

Brandin Cooks caught seven 50-yard touchdowns from Brees.

Ted Ginn, who ran a 4.38 40-yard dash.

There is an entire five-minute video of Brees’s 70-yard touchdown passes, many of which are bombs thrown over the top.

At least he didn't go out "3 times" like Bret Favre with his last passes all being INT'S.

"Your worst enemy, he reflected, was your own nervous system. At any moment the tension inside you was liable to translate itself into some visible symptom." Winston Smith
