Observations from the Saints Loss at Panthers

We are what our record says we are. And we have regressed as a team, despite good enough talent to win the first three games of the season. We lack discipline , imaginative play calling , and are turning the ball over... A recipe for a subpar year and performance.

So who's to blame? Well everybody, players and all, but ultimately it's the HC. Ceedy is dearly missed. His locker room chemistry is showing its price tag.

Buckle up, Who Dats! Our season is far from over , but our schedule is the most daunting in its history. We may be lucky to with the 9 games we won last year.

THIS IS ON (MIS)-MANAGEMENT. THEY KNEW WHEN BREES WAS ON HIS WAY OUT. THEY KNEW SP WOULD FOLLOW. THEY DID NOT PREPARE. TOP-DOWN FAILURE. THAT'S ALL.

Re: Observations from the Saints Loss at Panthers

Offensive line is lousy, Pete C is timid, Dennis Allen seems to be way over his head at HC & JW isn’t the answer at QB.

Even the special teams group is under performing.

But when you TURN the ball 🏈 over, PENALTIES, throw pics etc you aren’t winning at this level of football.

I’d like to see what Dalton can do under center next week.

We need a spark offensively. Waking up in the 4th won’t work.

Now I’m starting to see why we went all in on Desean Watson this off season.

Payton knew what he was doing when he quit.

Offensive line looked bad. Michael Thomas had 3 targets in the first half which is inexcusable. Jameis is still Jameis.

We just lost to the Carolina Panthers.

We suck.

Every time the hook almost comes for no.2 he then throws a completion followed by 3 inaccurate passes.

Yes, he's hurt
Yes, he's on borrowed time

Drew spoiled us with his 3rd down efficiency and accuracy.

#13 and #5 banged up?
Now That... Is concerning.

No need to even think about kicking onside kicks anytime soon... Lutz gets 0 early hop.

That locker room has to be pretty much deflated after these last few Qtrs.

Hopefully the Packers puts one on TB

Injured or not, I'm done seeing Winston starting.
He has no spot as a starter in this league, he cannot read defenses and make pre-snap adjustments.

His accuracy is questionable and his decision making is worse.

The Defenses telegraph what they are playing and he still makes mistakes.

He only looked reasonable in the 4th Quarter of Week 1 because it's the falcons, and thats what they do.

Time for Dalton to take over, which I didn't want to say, but Winston at this stage, is not getting us more than 4 or 5 wins this season and even then, it'd be the defense winning those games

1. Pete Carmichael clearly can't run an offense by himself. He was only successful because Sean was there to hold his hand. The Saints need to think about his replacement for next year.
2. The offensive line needs to make adjustments.
3. Jameis Winston is not the answer at QB. He's talented but he's not championship caliber. He has the weapons, but he doesn't have the ability to make things happen like Drew did.

I watched the news the other day and heard one of the Saints coaches talk about, it's not how you start, it's how you finish. Well, there is nothing I saw today that gave me any kind of encouragement that the finish is going to be better than the start.

Re: Observations from the Saints Loss at Panthers

For a few weeks I've sat here and watched everyone saying that James deserved a shot to prove himself. I'll be curious to see if any of the shills will admit they're wrong. Our quarterback, as so many of the quarterbacks in the league lack intelligence behind the center. The problem is they dont think they need to have intelligence they've got good legs or a cannon arm, but we're seeing this to not always effective.

I am not saying that Dalton is the answer but you must try something to get a spark. Jameis is a neanderthal in decision making. Physical talent can almost get you there, but not to the finish line.

By the way, Thomas can catch a ball but he is weak physically and mentally, sad but true. I know it's painful for some of you to see that they lack what it takes to take us across the line, but it is what it is.

This is coaching! Winston has proven he can’t throw certain passes! We need some hold onto the ball drills! We need a bruiser at running back and correct the O-Line! If you can’t bang the ball, you can’t pass either! If this mess continues Allen will be gone by years end! Payton saw what was coming!
