Re: Observation from the Saints loss to Bengals
On face value, it is short sighted to jet a new HC after 1/2 a season especially when we were just above .500 last season, it is not as if he took a 15-2 team into the gutter.
That said... this is where I deviate. Pete Carmichael is in his 14th season as the Offensive Coordinator and there are no reasonable excuses for how poorly this offense is performing. Assuming Carmichael wasn't just punching a clock and collecting a check for 14 years; all Allen would have to make is the frequent go for it on 4th, or decide to kick an onside kick once every few games. So, either Carmichael needs to go for being a piss poor OC or Allen needs to go for not letting Pete call the plays. Gayle Benson needs to call them both in, tell them both to quit stepping on their own d1cks. |

Re: Observation from the Saints loss to Bengals
- Andy Dalton had open receivers all game and either couldn't hit them or simply threw the ball away with minimal pressure. He looked Siemian-like out there. Cincy fans were laughing at us saying we got what they had to put up with for years. Dalton is not a playmaker. He's a placeholder.
- Burrow was Joe Burrow. He constantly got rid of the ball in two seconds for those short unguardable three yarders. - Why wasn't Taysom used in those key short yardage situations like last week against the Seahawks? - Why not give Shaheed another touch after that explosive jet sweep? Hell, run the exact same play and make them prove they can stop it. Better than the dives picking up two yards in the second half. - Two more key dropped passes by Kamara who has led the team in dropped passes each of the past two seasons. - Ingram looked more like his old self. Latavius who? |

Most teams suck this year. We just need to suck less . | |

Porter was no interception machine either, 4 that year and never over 2 again.
24 teams are under .501 which is an extremely high rate of suck. NFCS, NFCW, AFCN are all .500 or below. If you grade us against our peers, which is what happens, we look a lot better than we are. I may be in the minority here but being the shiniest turd in the pile is not a notable achievement because that usually ends with a gloruous wild card spot and a subsequent curb stomping. Id rather just fade away with a losing team than suffer the emotional roller-coaster of a 2022 play off birth. I mean, if I had emotions lol. |
