"Given opportunity", is the entire faulty premise you have built this BS argument on. Unless you mean by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the team and coaches have given him multiple opportunities and he has not surprised anyone with any of them. |

Re: Week Eight QB Debate
The QB posting this draft is good and we gave our 1st to a team that's undefeated.

Re: Week Eight QB Debate
Yeah, seems like it's a trend now. And now the Saints are on the clock and every team and everyone on draft day knows they give up at least 2 picks for every player they get. The reason given Because we're so stacked at the "said" position(s) we can afford it and don't need that pick.) Well ladies and gents we're really not as stacked as (some here) and the Saints organization has made it out to believe. Those 2 for 1 deals haven't produced not 1( and I mean not 1) player that is setting any records( sacks, int's, ypc) nothing. Only( and I mean only) time a 2 for 1 deal should be made is for an elite dominate player that's off the chart good. There plenty of player on draft day that don't go with 2 picks that excel in the NFL. On draft day I always cringe just knowing what Payton and now Allen is going to give up. It all comes down now is to how much?

Re: Week Eight QB Debate
Get a win this weekend and we’re right back in the battle for 1st place. The division is there for the taking. Hopefully this decision doesn’t keep us from making a run.

The division is definitely up for grabs.
But we gotta start winning games. Side note - Tampa may have lost their top pass rusher on last night - Shaq Barrett - possibly a torn Achilles. That would sting. |

Re: Week Eight QB Debate
I think Payton might have been able to fix Winston if he had the oline and weapons to keep Winston safe while he settled in. But Loomis busted the cap and Payton peaced out knowing he would lose Armstead and have to rely on Peat and have no proven healthy wide receivers. So Mr. .250 DC took over as head coach and the difficult project of fixing Winston went to a defensive coach who was a reclamation project himself with makeshift oline and ‘now you see me, now you don’t’ receivers. So not too surprisingly Winston struggled. I don’t think we have the environment to fix him and probably he will never be fixed. For us, Dalton is probably the more finished product we need but who knows, maybe Allen can break Dalton too. I don’t blame Michael Thomas too much. I don’t think he wanted to become Victor Cruz. He just did. But then again Tiger Woods was hurt for years and came back to win. Maybe one day Michael Thomas will be healthy enough to play golf too.
