We would regret dumping Michael Thomas the way Atlanta regrets dumping Matt Ryan today.

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I just think I'm pretty sure we've seen the last of Michael Thomas in a Saints' uniform, and I don't really care what happens to him -- if we can get something for him, great, even something minimal; and if ...

I just think I'm pretty sure we've seen the last of Michael Thomas in a Saints' uniform, and I don't really care what happens to him -- if we can get something for him, great, even something minimal; and if we can't, then he rides the bench until he's gone. I just don't think of him as really part of the team anymore.

He showed in the first two games this season that he still can't be stopped. We'd have a killer starting three with Thomas, Olave, and Shaheed. You don't bench your best WR. It doesn't matter what some fans may think, but as long as the team thinks he's part of the team then he is whether those fans think so or not.

True Dat! So we can expect ten unstoppable Michael Thomas games in every 50 the Saints have to play.

Also true. What does the team think?

I comprehend what you are saying, but as a fan, I believe it does matter what all fans think. They are the "customers".

You are assuming that he will get injured again. And what does the team think? If they didn't want him back they wouldn't be putting so much effort into making sure he'll be able to return healthy. As for what some fans want, no it doesn't matter at all. Most fans want nothing more than the team to be successful. They don't have some sort of contrived agenda against Thomas. As for the rest, once again, the team doesn't give a flying rat's ass. They also want nothing more than to win and if they feel having Thomas on the field gives them that best chance guess where he'll be? That's right ... on the field in the Saints' black and gold.
