Edit: I could see a scenario of a team unloading a contract just prior to the trade deadline to a team in the running that had just lost a starter. |

But the way I look at it his body hasn't taken the wear and tear expected for a player of his age with the minimal contact over the past three years. His strengths were never speed or explosiveness. They have always been his attention to detail. He runs brilliant routes. His hands have also been one of his biggest strengths and there's no reason why they shouldn't be as good as ever. He also knows how to take advantage of his opponent's deficiencies to get open. That shouldn't have disappeared. And his drive and determination seem to be as strong as ever given what I have heard from his coaches and teammates repeatedly this camp.
So, yes, I can't see why he couldn't get back to that same great level that we all once enjoyed. |

In today's game Michael Thomas is still a young man. Many great WR's are just into their prime in their early to mid-30's. Thomas just turned 30 earlier this year and basically only has the wear and tear of a 27 year old on his body. Yes, eventually age catches up with everyone, but he should have five or six more years of elite play in him, at least.
