And you wonder why you were 7-10 last season. Michael Gallup was there in the same draft class, same round. Scouts missed that one.

Improve the depth if you want to compete with the Niners, Eagles & Cowboys when it counts.
Part of the problem has been trading away draft picks for a player that we overvalue, rather then getting depth players who become role players, and then become eventual starters. I know we won't but I hope we trade back in this draft.

IIRC, the Saints have 9 draft picks in 2023.

Make em count. I'm not necessarily looking for the next "hit" but I'd be elated with 3-4 quality starters for years to come. The Saints need more pieces.

Time to go get younger and establish new talent on BOTH sides of the ball. This 2023 team isn't one player away from another Lombardi.

This makes sense. If we lose Ellis it won't be because of money, it will be because of scheme. With all of the nickel we play it basically takes an injury to Werner for him to see the field. He wants and deserves to play every down.
