What did he state that has any relevance to what Allen is getting paid? Perhaps you need to spell that out. He made some sort of assumption that Allen isn't under contract and/or he wasn't given a contract when named head coach. Neither of which can be verified.

The Saints did go through a league mandated interview process prior to naming Allen coach last off-season.

Oak stated nothing but totally unsupported personal theories with no basis in fact. I'm still not getting what y'all are trying to get at here?

Still trying to find out those Belichick contract details. Any help there yet, Oak?

I did find this from this past October. Once again, these are not publicly shared details so the accuracy is questionable. Note Dennis Allen in the last grouping with 12 others as "unknown".

The question then rears its ugly head, why then was DA indeed chosen as HC under the guise of "continuity"? A little voice in my head, albeit possibly wrong, whispers to me a deal was struck, a secret deal if you will, with SP and Loomis for this very scenario which is unfolding before our very eyes. We may never know... Or will we?

It is a conundrum. One that may run for a long time.
But it could be entwined with the succession plan for the Saints [with 2025 being key when the Superdome lease is up (for renewal). But I digress.] The ... erm..... business relationship between President Dennis Lauscha and General Manager Mickey Loomis were appointed into senior positions of tNew Orleans sports teams - Lauscha is THE executor on the Benson will, and Loomis is the backup. So neither are going any place soon for they have a BIG responsibility to the Saints and the city of New Orleans. Maybe somewhere in all that Dennis Allen has bonded well with Loomis. Yeah it is a stretch but............

Yeah it looks to be a prolonged, painful stretch then.

I believe, UK_WhoDat, there was a deal in December 2021 to renew the Superdome lease to the Saints past the previous 2025 date to a period "through 2035, with four five-year extension options through 2055 if the full Superdome renovations are completed."

The $750 million in renovation projects are due to be finished prior to the Saints and New Orleans hosting the 2025 Super Bowl.

It sounds to me like Dennis Allen doesn't have an agent that chooses to share that info. In fact, I couldn't find any evidence that Allen is even represented by a sports agent. I suppose he could be representing himself which would explain why there's no contract information out there at all.

there it is right there, guido admits it.....red as a beet :beatnik:
